MOM FOR THE PURSUIT – FEATURING CHASE54’S LULU FADDIS.

FADDIS FAMILY STYLED OUT IN WORK AND LIFE

We sat down with Mom extraordinaire and talented Designer Lulu Faddis to learn more about how she keeps everything on the rise at CHASE54 and still maintains a happy and healthy family life.

Q: How do you balance your work with CHASE54 as a company leader and being a Mom?

Lulu: I have such amazing support from my husband, Dave. He jumps into many roles to empower me to balance working full-time and also spending time with the kids. We prioritize doing exciting things together as a family, whether it’s traveling or taking a family hike (seen here in the photo). I also participate in Girl Scouts and make sure the children are involved in sports to ensure that continuity of life experience.

Q: What creative talents as a designer do you bring to motherhood?

Lulu: One of my greatest goals is teaching Myla (11) and Hudson (6) to be confident in their creative abilities when working on projects and being different in a positive way. Just like I carry a sketchbook or notepad and find inspiration to design the latest and greatest in a men’s polo shirt, I encourage them to carrying a notebook and jot things down as you think of them. I am sourcing my own design inspiration from life experiences and try to lead by example so they can do the same!

Q: What sort of lessons have your children learned thru CHASE54?

Lulu: I always encourage them to work hard until the job is done! Whether it’s school, projects or extra curricular presentations – I believe nothing is more important to WOW the teacher and class than being prepared (i.e. speaking about a project in front of the class). We talk a lot about the 5 Ps, a mantra I’ve always lived by: Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance. I also inspire them to be the best and most innovative in designs, not doing what is normal or expected when working on a project. Notice how I say projects a lot? It’s because they ALWAYS have projects…

Q: What do Myla & Hudson describe their future like?

Lulu: Hudson is our little athlete and wants to be a pro in sports…he can’t decide if it’s golf, baseball, or soccer – all which he’s already established a passion for. Myla would like to do something with animals…she’s interested in becoming either a veterinarian or animal trainer. Regardless of where they go, I’m trying to share my work and life experiences to help them reach their dreams. I’m with them every step of the way!

Stay tuned for more great designs from Lulu Faddis. The Fall 2015 collection will launch in June and features an array of innovative fabrics, polos, outerwear pieces, skorts, shorts and so much more!
